“Solidarités”, the international association of urgently humanitarian aid, launched a petition under the evocative title: “your drop of water ”.
This petition will be presented to the President of the French Republic, the President of the European Commission, and the General Secretary of the United Nations this autumn.
The petition “votre goutte d’eau” requires from political leaders, a significant increase in the financial resources, also their fast provision as well as the creation of an “International Agency for Water”.
The petition exceeded the number of 27 000 signatories until now, but that remains largely insufficient comparing to the importance of “water question” and “globalization” of the crisis.
